About Me

My name is Hudson McIntosh and I am currently in CIS515 with Professor Burkheimer. I chose to study computer information systems because I have always enjoyed it throughout school. I like the challenge it brings because you never fully figure it out. Technology is changing every day and that excites me. I find it interesting that something you learn today may be different tomorrow.

A little bit about myself is that I grew up just outside of Bondurant, Iowa, in a town called Mitchellville. I grew up with three older brothers and my parents. We are all close with each other and are competitive. All four of us brothers played baseball growing up, so it was always a competition to see who was better. I went to Bondurant-Farrar High School and graduated in 2024.

In my free time I enjoy lots of different things. I love to watch sports and cheer on my teams like the Hawkeyes, Broncos, and Dodgers. I really enjoy hunting, whether it is for ducks, deer, pheasant, or geese. I also like to fish. My favorite trip is going to Canada every summer with my family for a week of fishing. Lastly, I enjoy golfing. I have played all over the United States both competitively and for fun.

Beyond school and my hobbies, I am excited about where CIS can take me in the future. I enjoy solving problems, learning new skills, and figuring out how different systems connect to each other. My goal is to get a career where I can work with technology every day, continue learning as it evolves, and maybe even create tools that help others. I look forward to growing my skills throughout this program.
